Responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our centralized Organizational Reporting and Business Insights function. Successful candidate will work closely with Business leaders in conceptualizing performance metrics, developing their definitions and consequently, updating and maintaining the data dictionary and wireframes to ensure a centralized source of truth for performance management at Guardian India. They will design data flows/structures and liaise with Technology teams to ensure development and timely refresh of the dashboards. They will be required to build leadership reports, provide business insights, and provide inputs to organizational and functional presentations and reports.
Business insights and analysis
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop and present insights to stakeholders, informing business strategies.
- Have a keen understanding of the BFSI, insurance and GCC sectors
Performance management
- Deep understanding of typical performance measurement & reporting frameworks, KPIs
- Ability to conceptualize key performance indicators / metrics to track and monitor business performance for ex. Utilization to measure worker productivity
Understanding of Data Development & Modeling
- Deep understanding of data warehousing, data engineering, reporting and analytics.
- Knowledge of data processes, best practices and project management
- Ability to develop data flows, architecture and calculation models.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Data & Metadata Management
- Maintain and update the organization's central data dictionary, ensuring
- Point-in-time source of truth for metric definitions, calculations, source, data owner
- Consistency and integrity of data (source of truth)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop data governance policies.
Data Visualization and Reporting
- Design and develop wireframes, data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to support business decision-making.
- Provide inputs to organizational and functional presentations, reports, and publications.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and IT.
- Provide training and support to users on reporting tools and data visualization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/ Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience of working in the BFSI industry, preferably insurance sector
- 10-15 years of experience in data management, business intelligence, or analytics.
- Proven experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Data management and governance.
- Data visualization and reporting.
- Data warehousing and ETL.
- SQL, data modeling, and database design.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Certification in data management, business intelligence, or analytics (e.g., CDMP, CBIP).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts.
