HLB is embarking on a comprehensive multi-year regional organizational transformational journey encompassing products, channels and services across regional markets.
We are seeking candidates with business transformation, strategy development, performance improvement and project implementation experience to lead business transformation initiatives. This is both a strategic and execution-led role with interaction at various levels from the C-levels to on-the-ground teams across HLB. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department, Operational Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional
- Envision and formulate operational transformation strategies across branch, wholesale banking, retail, contact center and the associated omni-channel touchpoints.
- Responsible for project management, business & organization transformation, strategy planning & development, performance improvement, process re-engineering across bank-wide initiatives with collaborating with cross functional departments to ensure the direction of initiatives are on track of delivering operational benefits.
- Break down complex issues, gather data, conduct in-depth quantitative analysis and engage with stakeholders to formulate business cases that translate strategic direction into actionable and executable initiatives.
- Assist with monthly/quarterly business reporting and present analyses related to application of industry standards metrics, projects and initiatives to senior management, ensuring the overall progress aligns with the bank's procedure.
- Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness through the application of next generation technologies and thought leadership, including the use of cognitive computing like AI, machine learning and out of box methodologies.
- Monitor the overall project deliverables in meeting the targets while supporting project sponsors in driving and managing bank-wide projects that enhance the business performance, operations productivity and processes.
Managerial
- Provide guidance / coaching to stakeholders.
- Lead and facilitate interactive discovery and analytical sessions to comprehensively understand business activities, while providing statistical analysis of information to enhance validation and practicality of improvements.
- Demonstrate problem solving, leadership, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and team building skills to foster a productive work environment and drive goal attainment.
Job Requirements:
- Malaysian citizen.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent holder with 4 years and above related experience within process improvement, project delivery or strategic analysis in the finance/banking operations.
- Good understanding of process mapping, problem solving and data analysing in identifying the bottlenecks or root cause with proposing optimal solutions. Experience in management consulting or process re-engineering (LEAN Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
- Working proficiency in English (written/spoken) and competent in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel).
- Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision, possess strong attention to detail, exhibit strategic and analytical thinker and have a growth mindset.
