Your contribution:

As Manager Occupational Safety (m/f/d) you are responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for employees. This role includes compliance management according to European Machine Directive and further relevant legal or internal requirements for existing or new machines and equipment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a plan to assure compliance to the European Machine Directive and other legal or internal requirements for existing and new machines as well as equipment

  • Create safety specifications for new and modified machines and equipment, made by Clarios or by suppliers on behalf of Clarios

  • Own the process of incident investigations and follow up in the implementation of corrective actions and preventive measures

  • Identify and share safety best practices across the plants

  • Conduct safety and ISO 45001 audits and coach the production plants in developing corrective action plans

  • Develop and update internal safety standards and policies

  • Provide safety trainings for engineers, technicians and managers

  • Implement safety initiatives and programs to improve safety in the work environment and in behavioral safety

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes

  • Prepare and present safety reports to senior management

Your profile:

  • University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. manufacturing/electrical engineering)

  • Extensive experience on the European Machine Directive or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

  • Several years of experience in industrial safety

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset

  • Excellent communication- and interpersonal skills

  • Project management skills are a bonus

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Willing to travel occasionally
