Network News team is seeking a talented and experienced News writer based in Miami. This position will be responsible for supervising the daily writing for news programs on both linear and digital platforms.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
- Serve as the head of the "Writing" Shared Services team, supporting all network news shows (linear and streaming).
- Supervise a team of writers, ensuring high performance and consistency across platforms.
- Oversee and maintain accurate, efficient scheduling for writers to meet production demands.
- Adapt to breaking news and holiday schedules, ensuring uninterrupted coverage.
- Foster growth and alignment among writers, encouraging a unified writing style and approach.
- Step in as needed to write for shows
YOU HAVE:
- BS/BA Degree in Media, Communications or Broadcasting or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills both in English and Spanish.
- Experience managing teams
- 10+ years of network writing experience
- Must be available for breaking news, weekends, and holidays when necessary
