Our People team are strategic problem solvers who work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog keeps scaling smoothly and remains a great place to work.
Datadog is looking for a Manager, Learning & Development to lead and enhance our facilitation and instructional design function. You will act as a player-coach, facilitating and designing content yourself (primarily to people manager and leadership populations) as well as coaching your team to deliver high quality training to all employee populations at Datadog. You will directly manage a group of facilitators/instructional designers and receive additional support from other People and Enablement team members to execute programs and operations.
Serving as the strategic owner of our facilitation and instructional design function, you will identify and incorporate internal data, industry benchmarks, research, science, and general best practices into our global training programs. This will require close partnership with a range of stakeholders including program managers, coordination teams, and content SMEs across the business. Our goal is to provide employees learning experiences that are impactful, engaging, and enjoyable.

  • Partner closely with program managers and coordination teams to execute in-person, virtual, and online learning sessions that drive lasting behavior change
  • Collaborate with content SMEs across Datadog (e.g., People Business Partners, COE teams, Enablement functions) to build and enhance trainings that meet business goals
  • Ensure our programs clearly convey to learners the proper actions they should take in their day-to-day roles outside of the classroom to promote transfer of training
  • Use feedback, data, and industry trends to measure the success of our programs and drive improvements on an ongoing basis as we scale and evolve

Who You Are:

  • At least 8 years of related professional experience, including training facilitation, instructional design, and direct people management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working directly with senior leadership populations (Directors and VPs+) in live training environments
  • Proven ability to understand broader business objectives and translate them into action
  • Experience designing, building, and enhancing a diverse portfolio of training programs including complex People topics (e.g., DEI) and those for senior populations (e.g., executives and employees who manage managers)
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills; adept at building credibility with individuals across all levels, departments, and geographies
  • Ability to travel to different offices periodically, both domestic and international, to facilitate in-person workshops or support team members based abroad
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
