Summary:
The Manager, IT will be tasked to develop, document and maintain on-going vision for the company's IT infrastructure. This role will facilitate the selection and implementation of the network, communication, and systems infrastructure to match the global needs of the company. Additionally, this position will identify, develop, implement and maintain high level industry standard security practices and mentor team members on technologies, architecture, concepts and standards.
Essential Job Functions may include:

Facilitate the selection and implementation of IT solutions to match the needs of the company.

Identify, develop, implement and maintain high level industry standard security practices.

Mentor team members on technologies, architecture, concepts and standards.

Establish appropriate project and task management practices to ensure effective operations and delivery of desired results.

Ensure appropriate solutions are in plans that address the desired level of redundancy, availability and recoverability.

Ensure everyone is adhering to established standards and applying them correctly.

Provide proposals for proper tools and environment selection.

Identify, interact and provide high level of service with internal and external customer ensuring needs are being met.

Expertly aware of industry trends and new solutions.

Understand and plan for evolutionary paths, plan for new technology insertion.

Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.

Develop and document of policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma, or equivalent.

BS in Computer Science, or related field.

Seven (7) years experience supporting routers, firewalls, layer 2 and layer 3 switches

Seven (7) years experience with DNS, DHCP, domains and various IP based applications
-
Six (6) years experience Windows/Unix server management experience
-
Five (5) years experience managing Internet and Wide Area Networks
-
Four (4) years experience with network, systems management monitoring tools
-
Three (3) years experience with global network design and management
-
Two (2) years experience with Citrix, VPN's, or other remote access applications
-
Two (2) years experience with designing architecture in support of QA and other environments associated with SDLC
-
Experience with eCommerce N-tier architecture a plus

Experience with SQL Server a plus
Licensing/Certification/Registration:
This position does not require professional licensing, certification or registration.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor. Strategic issues are referred to supervisor.
