This position is hybrid out of the Springfield, IL or Madison, WI location with potential to become remote.
Horace Mann is a purpose-driven company that is passionate about educators. The Manager Investor Relations will assist in executing the Investor Relations (IR) strategy to strengthen engagement with existing and prospective investors.
- Prepare briefing materials and monitor ownership trends, investor outreach activities, and stock performance.
- Support internal responses to investor inquiries and ensure accurate, timely delivery of information.
- Update, analyze, and maintain Excel models and spreadsheets for financial communications, including internal and external reporting.
- Track and report on stock price performance, peer benchmarking, and ownership trends.
- Update and maintain investor and rating agency presentations to ensure alignment with financial materials and the company’s brand, mission, and values.
- Draft and edit written communications for investor materials, reports, and other IR-related content.
- Monitor analyst reports, perceptions, and consensus estimates, providing actionable insights and analyses to senior leadership.
- Support rating agency relations by managing contact records, handling annual surveys, and facilitating responses to information requests.
- Conduct capital allocation and business development analyses, including strategic fit assessments, consolidation research, valuation modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to guide strategic decision-making.
- Leverage vendor-provided databases to identify and engage prospective investors.
- Support the development and execution of investor outreach strategies and initiatives.
- Manage updates to the Investor Relations section of the company’s external website to ensure accurate and timely content.
- Support the dissemination of internal and external IR communications.
- Monitor and maintain the IR shared inbox, department budget, vendor relationships, and other key records.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. Relevant investment management experience may substitute for a business-related degree.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in investor relations, financial analysis, performance reporting, or a related role, with emphasis on financial modeling, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
- Outstanding financial and investment analysis capabilities.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the insurance or broader financial services industry preferred.
- Experience with investor database tools, website content management systems, and investor outreach platforms preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work with senior leaders to deliver results.
- Proactive, strategic thinker who can identify opportunities to enhance investor relations efforts.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Pay Range:
$84,200.00 - $124,100.00
Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
