ROLE SUMMARY:
The Manager, Innovation – Machine Development will manage and direct projects within the innovation pipeline, ranging from developing new brands to innovating current brands to drive incremental growth for the portfolio. Collaborate daily with channel teams, sales, brand teams, suppliers, and the broader cross-functional innovation ecosystem. This position is specific to the Innovation team and focuses on developing Beer and Beyond-Beer innovation projects. Innovating beyond the traditional boundaries of beer brands, Beyond-Beer innovation emphasizes research and development of seltzers, FMBs, and our non-alcoholic beverage portfolio.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages innovation projects with appropriate cross-functional teams to deliver product and packaging innovation for a set of Brands. Builds and maintains relationships with cross-functional partners and suppliers.

Leads key innovation projects from idea generation through commercial launch, including consumer insight and opportunity identification, innovation concept development, product/packaging optimization, viability, operational feasibility, P&L analysis, and execution plan.

Supports the one & three-year innovation pipeline for Brands, driven by consumer insights/needs, brand strategies, and portfolio innovation opportunities.

Supports translating consumer trends into actionable innovation workstreams, including research and development on flavor profiles, wellness and nutrition trends, and design and communication through packaging.

Apply consumer research to validate the desirability of innovation concepts. Deep-dive into consumer research to make business decisions about innovation development and financial investments.

Leads discussions and presentations with cross-functional teams and senior management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree required. MBA a plus.

2-4 years of experience in sales and marketing, product or package development, and/or supply chain management.

Previous experience with an innovation process is a plus, i.e., Stage Gate, design thinking methodology, and P&L tools.

Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team framework is a plus: strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.

Exceptional creative, project management, and organizational skills. Strong budget and business analytic skills.

Solid understanding of AB’s internal & external commercial reporting tools (Hero, IRI, MACO Model) and translating commercial acumen into actions (ROS, PODS).

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and experience utilizing Microsoft Teams.
