Manager, HR, Fray Bentos Mill

Be the strategic HR business partner for Fray Bentos Mill, supporting local organization leaders and ensuring the implementation of the annual plan in alignment with the business area's People Priorities. Manage employee relations, engage employees, and promote a positive work environment.

As an HR Manager, you will join a team focused on providing strategic and high-quality support to our operational teams. You will contribute significantly to implementing HR initiatives, coaching and guiding leaders for creating a great experience for our employees at UPM Uruguay. – Santiago Sagari, Director, HR, Fibres Uruguay Operations. 

What you will do  

• Define and implement the HR plan at the mill in alignment with local business and BA people priorities

• Act as BHR for the mill management team, providing support in all people related topics

• Be the main contact for labor relations for the operational unit, representing the company and assuring compliance with labor legislation and collective agreements

• Carried out the implementation of HR related processes (recruitment, onboarding, development, and talent management) at the site level

• Supervise and contribute diligently with personnel administration and payroll management, assuring compliance with internal policies and country regulations

• Design and implement programs to enhance workplace climate and internal communication

• Generate fluent relationships with employees, authorities, and other key stakeholders

• Define and follow-up main KPIs for the mill, proposing action plans for continuous improvement 

 
Who you are  

• University degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related fields

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within industrial environments

• Fluency in English is important for the position

• Solid knowledge of labor legislation

• Effective communication and negotiation abilities to cultivate relationships with various internal and external parties

• Results-oriented and ability to work in changing and complex environments

• Motivated outlook, willing to contribute to a team with a higher objective 

• Change management and organizational development knowledge

• Relocating to Fray Bentos is highly encouraged. Flexibility to travel within the country will be required
