West Monroe is seeking a Manager to join our Healthcare practice, focusing on the Healthcare Payer space based in our Chicago, IL office. This role involves leading teams, delivering transformative business and technology solutions, and driving improved outcomes for Health Payer organizations. Our clients count on us for strategic advisory and support toward improving their member and provider experience through optimizing constituent engagement , enhancing care management delivery, and transforming data platforms and analytics. 

Responsibilities 

Client Delivery: 

  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the ability to identify solutions that account for people, process, and technology to enable business value across business and technical functions. 
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve issues while also being able to take on the accountability of driving projects to completion; serve as a point of escalation. 
  • Facilitate client workshops and meetings focused on the future state of the Healthcare Industry, designing future state business processes and requirements. 
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) of deliverables and materials before presenting to client. 
  • Mentor and manage teams of younger consultants to ensure quality of delivery and to keep projects on time and budget. 
  • Interface with all levels of management both internally and at client sites. 

Project Management: 

  • Develop client-ready communications to facilitate decision-making, communicate status, mitigate risk, or resolve issues. 
  • Participate in the creation of project-related deliverables such as project plans, implementation plans, communication plans, and financial models. 
  • Work closely with engagement management to reduce project risk. 
  • Manage members of the West Monroe and client teams to foster highly functioning joint project teams for planning and delivery. 

Business and Practice Development: 

  • Participate in the business development process by assisting in building client relationships, proposal requests, and growing client accounts. 
  • Support practice development by contributing to the development of tools, methodologies, and techniques used by West Monroe on client assignments. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • At least 4 years of experience in a team-based consulting environment working directly with external clients, demonstrating an understanding of operations in the Healthcare Industry. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in processes such as organizational transformation, process improvement, product development, or managing teams and work streams. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and display excellent judgment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver results effectively. 
  • Experience developing work plans, project scopes, and pricing estimates. 
  • Strong communication skills to work with clients and present to C-level executives. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as customer relations skills. 
  • Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives. 
  • Ability to travel as required. 

 

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
