Position Purpose
We are seeking a Manager for our Special Projects team who will focus on the applicability of Generative AI within our enterprise. The team, comprised of Data Scientists and Software Engineers, is responsible for identifying, implementing, and testing high-value use cases for AI and determining their long-term viability.
The ideal candidate will be well-rounded, with experience in team management, project delivery, AI / Machine Learning / Data Science, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:

Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the special projects team, ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget.

AI/ML Initiatives: Guide the implementation and testing of AI and deep learning initiatives, from inception to completion.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the team and business partners, maintaining a steady flow of information regarding project progress and potential applications.

Agile Processes: Lead Agile ceremonies, promote Agile methodologies within the team, and ensure Agile best practices are adhered to.

Team Leadership: Provide direction and support to team members, promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.

Backlog Management: Collaborate with business partners to prioritize and manage the team's backlog, aligning project goals with company objectives.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing software development projects, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or data science initiatives

Experience in developing GenAI-related software products would be a major plus.

Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of guiding teams to project success.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder management and consensus building.

Proficiency in Agile methodologies and managing Agile ceremonies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks based on business requirements.

Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, tools, and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and understanding of neural networks and deep learning concepts is beneficial but not required.
