Summary:
This position is part of the expanding DevOps group that combines teamwork, innovation, work/life balance, and autonomy. You will contribute to the evolution of our AWS cloud infrastructure that supports Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready SaaS application as well as internal systems.

Essential duties/responsibilities:
- You will develop and advance our (“shift left”) capabilities in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable and secure infrastructure to support our education i-Ready platform, ensuring high availability and performance in an Agile environment.
- Support efforts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployment processes, and implement effective orchestration, leveraging tools such as Puppet, Terraform, and AWS managed services.
- Champion the implementation of robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate frequent and reliable software releases.
- Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce best practices for securing infrastructure and applications, including regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Foster strong collaboration between development and operations teams, promoting a DevOps culture focused on efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with engineering teams to forecast resource needs, optimize infrastructure costs, and plan for future growth.
Required Job Skills and Abilities:
- Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
- General analysis/problem solving and ability to develop creative solutions by partnering with teams.
- Help support and mentor team members, making hiring decisions, invest in career growth, and position members for team success.
- AWS Cloud technology experience
Required Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- Proficiency in managing infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS (Preferred), Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet (Preferred), or Chef.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, DataDog, AppDynamics
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience in a technical capacity
