Spotify is seeking a Manager for Data Operations and Tooling in the Advertising Sales Operations organization. This role blends responsibilities across data quality management, CRM data governance, and sales tooling to support our sales, customer support, and marketing teams. As the inaugural member of the Data Operations and Tooling team, you will launch, design, implement, and lead tools and processes that improve the accuracy, integrity, and usability of our CRM data to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure CRM Data Integrity: Lead efforts to eliminate data duplication and inaccuracies in advertiser CRM data, implement monitoring systems, and establish proactive measures to maintain accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with stakeholders across sales, customer support, marketing, and operations to define data and tooling needs, translate them into actionable requirements for engineering teams, and ensure tools meet business expectations.
  • Develop Data Governance Standards: Define, implement, and enforce comprehensive data quality standards, policies, and procedures, addressing data issues through governance frameworks and robust tooling solutions.
  • Optimize Tools and Processes: Oversee the design and implementation of new tools or enhancements, managing testing, rollout, and adoption efforts to improve operational efficiency and data usability.
  • Monitor and Report Data Quality: Create and maintain detailed reports on CRM data quality metrics, monitor compliance with governance standards, and drive automation to minimize manual data cleanup efforts.
  • Train and Support Stakeholders: Develop and maintain training materials and reference guides for tools and governance practices, ensuring sales and operations teams achieve proficiency and adhere to established standards.
  • Operations and Data Management Expertise: Extensive experience in process development, internal tooling systems, and data quality management, with a proven ability to maintain and optimize complex data ecosystems.
  • CRM: Deep knowledge of CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce, with expertise in customization, data governance, and driving actionable insights from sales data.
  • Sales and Operations Insight: Strong understanding of scaled sales methodologies, customer acquisition and retention strategies, and ad sales operations, with a focus on efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Analytical and Technical Proficiency: analytical skills with expertise in SQL, ETL platforms, and data quality tools, enabling the identification and resolution of complex data issues.
  • Project Management and Execution: Proven ability to lead projects, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results within aggressive timelines, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Effective Communication and Change Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence cross-functional teams, drive adoption of governance practices, and successfully implement organizational change.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Data Management, Technical Program Management, or similar roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working for a leading digital advertising platform is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing outsourced sales operations or supporting large-scale ad sales organizations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing operational sales data, including revenue metrics, ROI, and sales efficiency.

Where You'll Be

  • This position will be based in New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best. There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.

The United States base range for this position is $115,700 - $165,286 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
