Are you a Manager of Cloud Ops looking to significantly impact the business's growth and success by driving the operational transformation of next-generation container platforms and cloud connectivity infrastructure?

We have an opening for a Manager of Cloud Operations to join our Cloud Operations team. The team is responsible for the enterprise scale, automation, and availability of services on AWS to enable the scale of our platform and enable and accelerate our global engineering teams. You will work with key stakeholders and technical leaders to analyze and build cloud platform solutions and processes to deliver highly secure, scalable, and reliable services. You will also be responsible for the management of operational support and coordination with our internal IT teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Focus and lead an operations team of cloud-native systems using AWS, EKS, and OKD
  • Build, maintain, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters using EKS/OpenShift/OKD
  • Work with stakeholders to address challenges with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of observability systems
  • Participate in small to large platform engineering initiatives related to product delivery tasks
  • Study the system and proactively provide architectural improvements and automated solutions for daily operations, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Document operational procedures and share knowledge with stakeholder teams
  • Mentor members of the team on best practices, architecture, and development
  • Provide guidance in cloud-based best practices
  • Participate in a team’s on-call schedule, which means that occasionally, you may be asked to provide after-hours technical expertise, guidance, and support. Business hours are typically 09:00 – 5:00 ET

 Who you are:

  • 6+ years of professional combined work experience in DevOps, SRE, System Administration, or similar roles and 2+ years in a managerial role
  • Must have Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD experience
  • Must have demonstrable programming abilities in scripting languages like Bash and Python
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals is a must. You should be comfortable using common network troubleshooting tools like dig and nslookup, netstat, netcat etc.
  • Java EE/Jakarta experience writing/troubleshooting Java applications using Maven, Tomcat, TomEE, and related technologies is a major plus.
  • OpenShift/OKD experience is a plus.
  • Istio/Gloo Mesh experience is a BIG plus
  • ​​Knowledge of Linux system internals and common tools would be a benefit to anyone in this role. In particular, being comfortable using tools like top, strace, lsof, etc., would be a useful aid in your work

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
