Job Description:

The Manager, Change Enablement will be part of a global team with a mandate to accelerate a change-adaptive mindset as a core role skillset in Manulife’s DNA. This key role will help ensure everyone knows and owns their role in change by empowering colleagues with the learning, tools, resources, and community so they can better adapt to change that happens every day, and effectively rollout and sustain impactful transformation.

Day-to-day, the role involves leading those empowerment efforts, as well as leading and coaching teams that are on the front lines of delivering on transformation and change using structured methodologies, conducting impact and readiness assessments, and developing comprehensive Change Enablement strategies. The Manager will work closely with delivery teams to ensure effective execution and requires strong leadership skills, including high emotional intelligence, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, consult, and coach project teams on Change Enablement activities using a structured methodology.
  • Manage the change lifecycle, ensuring expertise is involved from the outset.
  • Conduct impact and readiness assessments at the project team level.
  • Complete comprehensive Change Enablement assessments and develop and implement corresponding strategies.
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics and manage anticipated resistance.
  • Manage the relationship with the team lead, recommending tactics for an engaged Executive Sponsor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Incorporate all tactical Change Enablement best practices into project plans and run appropriate reports and metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in leading transformation or change-related initiatives, preferably in managing activities using frameworks such as Kotter, Prosci ADKAR, or proprietary methods.
  • Experience working in a global team environment; able to potentially work outside of standard work hours to meet client and business needs.
  • A university degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Some experience in project environments with tools like workback schedules, and contributing to RACI discussions and project status updates.
  • Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to quantitatively measure change readiness and track organizational awareness, understanding, and adoption over time.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives effectively.
  • Amenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
  • Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
  • Amenable to work in any shift schedule assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prosci ADKAR certification and/or Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation is preferred.
  • Previous experience within the insurance or financial industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of Change Enablement principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.
  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to synthesize information and develop appropriate actions.
