How YOU will make a Difference:
As a Care Navigator Manager you will lead and support a dynamic and talented team of Care Navigators in providing service to members with access to Care Navigator programs and collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote efficiency and value as the Care Navigator program grows and evolves.
What YOU will do:

  • Provides leadership and guidance to support the day-to-day activities of the care navigator team and program(s)
  • Proactively identifies and communicates back trends, changes, and potential impacts to Care Navigator team, members and clients utilizing both internal and external sources, and with respect to the healthcare landscape, networks/contracts, vendors and partner programs, etc.
  • Performs regular audits of calls and casework to support a high level of excellence in member experience and adherence to Care Navigator team standards and guidelines; provides feedback, guidance, and recognition to team members as appropriate
  • Performs regular audits of PWIs, Standard Work, and other Care Navigator documents for use by internal HMA teams
  • Provides training, education, and mentorship to Care Navigator team members; takes ownership of on-boarding for new team members
  • Handle complex and escalated cases for Care Navigators
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders including Care Management, MAT, Claims, Client Succes, Product, Marking, and Product Operations to resolve member issues, advocate for program needs, and support operations and development of the Care Navigator product.
  • Uses a data-driven approach to support and promote efficiencies in the work and a positive working environment for the team
  • Promotes a culture of continuous process-improvement with direct reports and within the Care Navigator program(s)
  • Responsible for coordinating technology needs to support Care Navigator workflows


Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a healthcare payor environment; experience working directly with members preferred; experience working with a TPA strongly preferred
  • Prior leadership experience in a lead or managerial role required
  • Deep understanding of insurance, medical/clinical terminology, and healthcare administrative processes required
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to lead with empathy, develop and motivate teams, and hold others accountable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • High level of comfort using data to drive decisions
  • Passion for excellence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerBI)


Compensation:
The base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $102,000 - $130,000 and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors. Performance-based incentive bonus(es) is available. In addition, HMA provides a generous total rewards package for full-time employees that includes: seventeen (IC) days paid time off; eleven paid holidays, one paid personal and one paid volunteer day; company-subsidized medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance; company-paid disability, life, and AD&D insurances; voluntary life insurances; HSA and FSA pre-tax programs; 401(k)-retirement plan with company match; wellness incentive and reimbursement; remote work and continuing education reimbursements; discount program; parental leave; and a charitable giving match. HMA is primarily a remote workforce, requires a reliable internet connection, and provides all hardware. Some roles are required onsite 1-3 days per week/month while other roles are 100% remote.
