Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
•    Regulatory Compliance assessment and implementation: Implement new risk and regulatory requirements by performing gap assessments, building roadmaps, and translating risk or regulatory requirements into business needs. Support clients with implementing and embedding of identified gaps, according to the roadmap.
•    Risk assessment: lead campaigns to identify and assess risks, propose mitigating actions, and risk monitoring approaches, report results to entity’s senior management.
•    Internal Controlling: Improve the design of internal controls and monitor their effective implementation, using notably international standards and best market practices. 
•    Regulatory watch: update existing processes and build a regulatory monitoring program to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations. Leading Compliance/Regulatory audits from Clients and States.
•    Lead Projects: Organize workshops with the client’s teams to identify pain points, conduct analysis and propose remediations.
•    Risk culture: Help to foster risk and compliance culture within an organization (workshops, awareness campaigns, trainings).

Skills and Attributes for Success

•    Should be a Graduate
•    Strong Life insurance domain knowledge 
•    Relevant experience (10-15 years) in managing compliance teams, or in Risk and Compliance managerial position, within Life insurance services sector
•    Expertise and experience in specific regulations applicable to the Life Insurance sector (Insurance Law, Compliance and Risk Governance, Regulatory Audits from clients and states)
•    Flexible mindset, with a creative approach and ability to think out-of-the-box and good stakeholder management experience
•    Process-minded, problem solving skilled, organized, with an eye for detail and excellent analytical skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills, with capacity to summarize & prioritize the information to be reported to management
•    Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
