If you excel at the intersection of data, operations, and strategy-and love building from the ground up-this is your chance to make a measurable difference at scale.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and grow a high-performing BI Engineering team focused on Inventory and related domains within the Chewy Supply Chain!
- Be responsible for multiple concurrent initiatives to deliver scalable operational metrics and data products used by Supply Chain and Operations teams.
- Lead the end-to-end BI lifecycle-from gathering requirements to building and maintaining dashboards, pipelines, and metrics in tools such as Tableau and SQL-based platforms.
- Apply advanced SQL skills to build robust, adaptable data solutions that integrate across complex systems and data sources.
- Define and standardize data logic, metrics, and reporting structures that promote alignment and drive action across cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with BIEs and collaborators across Operations, Transportation, Vendor Compliance, and Finance to support broader supply chain initiatives.
- Lead efforts to take workflows from prototype to production-ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and scalability.
- Conduct process audits, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven improvements grounded in root cause analysis.
- Communicate project timelines, risks, and progress clearly to technical and non-technical customers alike.
- Champion data governance, metric consistency, and quality assurance standard methodologies across the BIE function.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Management, Analytics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred!
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a similar role-preferably in a supply chain, ecommerce, or operational analytics environment.
- Experience running or mentoring technical analysts or engineers, with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence and execution.
- Expertise in SQL and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Advanced data visualization experience using Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Good understanding of operational workflows and how to translate business processes into scalable data solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of building trust across technical and business teams.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with opposing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and experience leading complex cross-functional projects.
