The Pricing and Trade Strategy Team supports Product Management to help set pricing and business direction for customers and the portfolio. We are seeking an individual to join our Team as a manager supporting the Frozen Breakfast, Sandwich and Stick Business Units (Foodservice & Retail).
A manager on the Pricing and Trade Strategy Team serves as a guide to business, customer and financial objectives by providing when, where, why, how and what impact of using pricing as a lever. Key responsibilities include identifying and developing pricing strategies and building analytics to enhance operational support for decision making. A manager will also work closely with the Product Management and Sales Support teams to create and optimize the go-to-market strategy around key categories of the portfolio and provide ad-hoc analysis to support sales initiatives.
This role is ideal for candidates who are self-driven and embrace ambiguity. They will enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment to develop winning solutions for both Tyson and our customers. In order to do so, they must partner with and influence both business owners and business support members on the strategies. The candidate should be familiar with basic financial statements and leveraging data for actionable insights.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze internal and external factors to business performance (commodity markets, competitive pricing, market share, etc.).
- Build portfolio, customer and product specific profit and loss statements for scenario analyses to aid decision making.
- Drive creation and optimization of new and existing pricing strategies.
- Support development of long and short-term category strategies and tactics.
- Support our product management Teams and ensure strategies are pushed out to our customer Teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Revenue Growth Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement and Sales.
- Lead execution of tactical initiatives.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2-4 years in related field - CPG experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload. Excellent collaboration skills.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills, including communicating insights to diverse audiences. Natural inquisitiveness to exploring data and looking for insights to drive business decisions. Strong data manipulation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Supervisory: N/A
Travel: Limited travel expectations (1 – 2 trips annually).
** We have multiple openings on our Pricing & Trade Strategy Team including: Manager and Senior Analyst. Leveling will be determined based on experience and fit during the interview process.
The Revenue Growth Management team works 100% Onsite at our Corporate Office in Springdale, Arkansas, 1st shift Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (some flexibility on start/end times). Although the salary rate for this role is based on experience of the selected candidate, this role does offer an Annual Incentive Plan, Annual Salary Review, and great benefits starting day one: Medical, Vision, Dental, plus continued growth & a chance to join a great team
