Job Overview
The Manager of Application Engineering is a product expert and will collaborate with our business development team and our clients to manage seamless integration of Ohmium’s products into our clients’ projects. The role involves working closely with Application Engineering Support team, who are experts across various engineering disciplines, to effectively manage technical proposals, client technical interactions, and project studies such as Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) during the sales-phase of the project. You will also act as a resource to our Field Service team once the project is sold and is in the installation phase.

You work hand-in-hand with other members of Ohmium’s team including Sales, Engineering, Marketing and Finance to help sell our unique solution and showcase our amazing technology. Duties & Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Working in partnership with the sales team, serve as the primary technical liaison for clients to manage all technical interactions with clients and their consultants/EPCs. Develop strong relationships that enhance client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
- Proposal Management: Oversee the development of detailed and competitive technical proposals and bids. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal, to ensure that all client requirements are met and that proposals align with Ohmium’s strategic goals.
- Design Package: Coordinate the standard design package for Ohmium’s products with clients. Ensure that these packages are easily adaptable to meet diverse client needs.
- Project Design & Execution: Lead the integration of Ohmium’s products into client projects, ensuring seamless and optimized implementation. Collaborate closely with clients, their EPCs, and consultants to guide and participate in key project studies, including Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), during sales phase of the project to achieve superior project outcomes. Provide support during the project installation phase.
- Research & Development and Product Optimization: Lead efforts to capture, analyze, and apply lessons learned from client interactions and project execution. Provide actionable insights to R&D and Product teams to drive continuous product optimization and innovation. Collect relevant information and data on regional customer and competitor activities.
Location, Travel & Work Environment
- While not traveling, you will work from your home office (aka remote work location) which provides a work environment that (a) allows for confidential or sensitive discussions; (b) is quiet and distraction-free; (c) has consistent high-quality internet and phone access (d) ensures availability during business hours, nights and weekends as may be required and (e) safe from hazards.
- Ability to travel within the EU to meet with current and potential customers approximately 20% of the time.
- Potential for international travel to other countries as required.

- Presentation Skills: Skilled in effectively preparing and presenting complex and highly technical information across internal and external audiences.

- Collaboration & Teamwork: Skilled in strong and effective collaborations with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions, especially with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Fleet Operations. Strong team player with a focus on achieving collective goals.
- Agility: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Resilient and adaptable to change, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, global, multi-cultural environment.
Required Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another closely related technical engineering degree or an equivalent combination of education, certification, or work experience in some science/engineering related field.
- 8+ years’ experience working as an engineer with broad exposure to renewable energy, hydrogen, P2X, oil & gas, process technology licensing, power and/or like projects or equivalent years of military experience in a relevant field.
