ABOUT THIS ROLE
Orchestra is seeking a Manager to be a critical component in the growth and development of our Analytics and Insights team. We are looking for someone who understands the strategic importance of accurate and insightful data storytelling, is deeply familiar with analytics tools, and has the ability and desire to build expertise around analyzing the performance of content.
We are looking for someone who is of an analytical mind and understands the unique insights and storytelling value that well-designed research projects can bring to communication strategies. Our ideal candidate should have an established knowledge of analytics tools and a drive to create impactful reporting to support the agency’s insights deliverables. They will have the opportunity to work across agencies and a wide variety of clients to design and execute rigorous methodologies, with the end goal of effectively communicating the strategic implications and impact to our clients. This person is organized, communicative, and enthusiastic about what’s possible to measure and learn from data.
Role location: This role may be remote in the U.S. on Eastern Time with a preference for candidates based in New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. Employees in NYC or DC are considered hybrid and expected to be in-office three days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Join a growing team of innovative analytics professionals, delivering interesting and impactful data-driven insights to a vast range of clients
- Aid in developing and refining best practices for research across Orchestra, staying up to date on tools and news in the analytics industry
- Collaborate with other research experts and PR professionals in the production of external reports and analysis for clients & interagency stakeholders to support data-backed findings and strategic recommendations
- Support multiple types of analyses from concept to completion, including competitive landscape analysis, white space assessments, performance measurement, audience insights, owned content audits, etc.
- Assist in creating comprehensive measurement plans for analyzing owned, social, and earned properties
- Assist in business development and growth by working with an interagency team to inform our proposal strategy and ongoing client analytics deliverables
- Work closely across an integrated agency team to develop data strategies (e.g. metric definitions, data capture, visualization, storytelling, etc.)
Essential skills:
- At least 4+ years of insights experience, demonstrating career progression
- Excitement and passion toward developing and executing data-driven strategies and insights, along with a solid understanding of the digital landscape
- Experience supporting the execution of media monitoring & measurement, media analyses, audience insights, and social intelligence analysis with high-level senior guidance
- Motivation to work collaboratively across teams with diverse skillsets and advocate for the value and benefits of data & insights
- Strong communication skills and a builder mentality, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries: ability to share techniques with the the larger Orchestra’s community
- Working knowledge and recent experience with a range of analytics tools. Relevant tools include:
- Owned: Google Analytics, Hootsuite
- Earned : Brandwatch, Talkwaker, Netbase, Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack, Tubular, Statista
- Social: Sprout Social
- Familiarity with dashboard tools, such as Google Analytics, Google’s Looker Studio, Databox, etc.
- Strong data visualization skills
- Track record of implementing operational excellence (process efficiencies, effective tools, and technologies) in an analytics function
- Previous experience working with a wide range of clients across industries in a face-paced agency environment
- Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gain deeper understanding of consumer behavior, attitudes, preferences
- Experience training, mentoring, managing teammates
WORKING AT ORCHESTRA
Salary range: $95,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience & skills
