About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements:
We are seeking a Manager, Advertising Finance, who will be a key part of the Sales Compensation team. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, a pragmatic problem solver, and possesses strong project management skills to ensure efficient and accurate results. In this role, the Manager, Advertising Finance will conduct analysis of sales performance, implement tools for sales reporting, provide recommendations on incentive effectiveness, and collaborate with Revenue Strategy, HR, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of compensation plans and payments.
This position is a hybrid in-office position in NYC, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Team | The Team and/or Brand:
The focus of the Sales Compensation team is to support the advertising sales teams by administering plans that incentivize and reward performance. This team is responsible for implementation, calculation, reporting, and payment of sales compensation programs for sales incentive eligible DDM employees.

- Contribute to the quarterly SIP payout process by organizing and calculating data using Excel and Google Sheets for most of DDM’s sales force.
- Support the design, execution, and communication of the sales incentive plans.
- Meet crucial payroll deadlines.
- Send out highly confidential payment information to the sales team on a regular basis.
- Contribute to the improvement of sales incentive plans with actionable insights.
- Serve as a point of contact for sales team’s compensation inquiries
- Complete ad hoc reporting in a timely manner.

- Navigate Salesforce and advertising revenue reports to research and answer revenue and sales goal related questions.
- Provide ideas for process efficiencies and development of sales comp team’s internal reporting documents.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Business, Accounting and/or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Strategy, Operations, Sales Compensation, and/or Sales Finance
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts and processes
- Familiar with sales compensation plan mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, determine appropriate solutions and resolve problems
- Strong and effective oral/written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, think critically, and execute accurate detailed work
- Proven organization and prioritization capabilities

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $87,500.00 - $105,000.00
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
