Position Overview:Are you passionate about building strong client relationships and driving sales growth? Join our dynamic team as a Major Account Manager – Gas Compression, where you'll be the primary contact for major strategic customers, marketing Finning and Caterpillar products and services. You'll have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative growth plans for gas compression equipment, parts, and service sales, and create tailored sales and marketing strategies that make a real impact.
Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Build and maintain effective client relationships to support the marketing and sales of our top-tier equipment, products, and services.
- Conduct timely and effective research, communication, and response to customer and Caterpillar issues.
- Manage contracts and related reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely forecasts for equipment and services, pricing, quality estimates, market intelligence, call reports, and customer information.
- Utilize Finning (Canada)’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to develop and maintain valuable information data.
Accountabilities:
- Achieve targets for profitability, cost, and asset management.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers, Caterpillar, internal departments, and staff.
- Understand customers’ economic models and proactively develop timely deal strategies.
- Coach and develop Services Sales Representatives, helping them reach their full potential.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of previous sales and product support experience working at a corporate level
- Gas compression experience an asset.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
- Sound knowledge of products and services related to the assigned industry.
- Maintain current knowledge of customers, economic environment, and Caterpillar products.
- Adherence to safety procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
