Role Description: Mainframe Technical Architect

The Mainframe Service are providing business critical services for the financial services in the Nordics enabling financial institutions to become more agile and efficient, accelerating their digital transformation journey.

We are now searching for an experienced Mainframe Technical Architect to our Mainframe team in Norway.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing mainframe systems to meet our customers’ business needs and their digital transformation and Mainframe modernization strategy goals. You will as well work very close our strategic partners and customers solving complex technical issues and supporting modernization of mainframe environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement and maintain solutions to meet our customers’ business requirements 
• Proactively recommend improvements and enhancements
• Very close collaboration with the customer teams and end customers
• Key architect contact for our vendors
• Provide sales support and lead solutioning presentations and discussions
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the Mainframe area and
  recommend improvements and changes to the mainframe ecosystem.

What we expect: 

• A solid understanding of Mainframe topologies, and strong skills in designing, planning, and operational configuration of business-critical Mainframe environments 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mainframe architecture including designing, deploying and operate Mainframe solutions in an enterprise environment
• Create and maintain documentation, including system diagrams, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Proven expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, RACF, and z/OS.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, modernization, and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Deep knowledge of mainframe performance tuning, security, and compliance.
• Fluent Norwegian and English language skills
• The selected candidate must successfully pass a security clearance. This process will be conducted as part of the recruitment procedure.
   

We also appreciate if you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related working experience
• Certified trainings in Mainframe technologies
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in different countries.
