Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments of operating machinery in accordance with the annual plan

  • Perform risk assessments on new machines (new or existing technologies)

  • Validate acceptable risk level at machine release or during normal operation

  • Continuous improvement in Machine Safety related education

  • Support Go-look-see (GLS) for local or other plant machinery incidents

  • Support Practical Problem Solving (PPS) or improvement tools related to machinery Deliver machinery safety related training

  • Update KPI's

  • Create and follow up observations in SAP

  • Active participation in Machinery Safety meetings and trainings assigned

  • Follow up actions to Site Acceptance Test (SATs) assigned to MSG

  • Support LMV MSG training system, including local MSG skill matrix development to create and sustain machine safety mindset, awareness and competency / performance

  • Support to create / revise / update SOP, WI, OPL, … documents related to machine safety

  • Involve to machine related projects ensuring contributions from MSG in the project from phase 1 to 5, including new equipment purchase/implementation, machinery FAT and SAT, … with Proactive Safety approaches / processes

  • Support LOTO implementation and management in LMV

  • Regular process confirmation and follow up with Local MSG network

  • Involve to onsite EHS problem solving related to machine safety and maintain/ update machine safety assessment database

  • Support follow up machine safety related accidents, make in-depth assessment and develop solutions (if needed), then establish report to stakeholders

  • Support global machine safety in updating MSG tools to secure usability

  • Best Practice sharing and adaptation through our local MSG networks

  • Participate and support other LMV's EHS activities e.g. safety week, EHS network, Potential Safety Observation (PSO) review, BBS etc. and , activities to leverage safety culture

Do you have what it takes?

  • 2+ years experience in machine safety from MNC (machine inspections, machine development, equipment technical specification creation, solid understanding and knowledges of legislation and harmonized standards knowledges, risk analysis).

  • Basic knowledge of machine directive 2006/42/EC, users directive 2009/104/EC, Government decree No. 378/2001, Basic harmonized standards EN ISO 12100, IEC 60204-1

  • Bachelor degree with major in Electrical/ Mechanical/ EHS is preferred

  • Certification in H&S system (Identification of hazards/risks certification) is preferred

Must-have qualifications

  • Detail oriented

  • Self-driven personality with can-do-attitude

  • MS Office

  • Result oriented and logical / analytical skills, detail oriented, systematic thinking and sense for excellence

  • No color blind - to avoid unfortunate safety incidents due to not being able to distinguish colors correctly while performing tasks. (E.g. wrong electrical wiring, warning signs misidentification, …

  • 4 skills fluent in both Vietnamese and English (Intermediate)

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Practical experience in Kaizen, SPC, SGA/QC in problem solving
