Summary:
This paid internship will give you hands-on experience at one of the nations’ fastest growing strategic advisory firms. In this role, an intern will have a wide variety of responsibilities. This is a summer 2025 opportunity with daily workloads and schedules set by the Manager, M&A Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Support other members of the M&A Finance team throughout final financial diligence
- Gather all commission, fee-based contracts, and retirement revenue related data to perform final revenue validation once an LOI is signed
- Compile data into standard templates to analyze revenue run rate based on the target’s current book of business
- Identify missing information or clarifying questions to understand pro forma revenue and expenses
- Adhere to stringent deadlines and varying workloads supportive of moving M&A pipeline
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies and improve existing models and templates
- Review past historical acquisitions to update benchmarking metrics for future diligence
- Miscellaneous other projects to support the M&A team

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while meeting or exceeding deadlines
- Effective written and oral communication skills across a variety of audiences
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Positive, upbeat attitude
- Ability to travel, if needed
Education, Training and Experience:
- In pursuit of a bachelor’s degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Comfortable working with others in virtual environments
The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $18 per hour.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs. You will receive reimbursement of job-related expenses per the company policy and may receive employee perks and discounts.
