As an M365 SharePoint Administrator at QTS, you will participate in advancing SharePoint based sites, applications, and extensions within the Microsoft 365 cloud platform. You will be a hands-on developer responsible for assisting with optimizing the user experience for SharePoint online. This person will work well in a team environment collaborating with various teams and will be responsible for translating business and technical needs into creative designs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned. 

  • Hands-on administration and support of M365 SharePoint Online sites (intranet) and services
  • Design and implement Microsoft 365 online SharePoint based solutions including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
  • Develop, configure, and maintain custom forms, and flows to meet business requirements and optimize user experience
  • Create web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management using SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • Customize and extend the SharePoint Online experience by using PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Powershell, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, and other technologies
  • Update documentation, processes, and knowledge articles as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that solutions are designed with best practices in mind that are scalable, resilient, and highly available
  • Partnership with Information Security to address related elements of the SharePoint platform including permissions controls, sensitivity labels, and document retention in accordance with established policies and compliance frameworks
  • Assist with the QTS AI vision, support implementation and use of Microsoft CoPilot for business use cases
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Microsoft 365 and related technologies
  • Analyze existing processes and governance to identify and implement improvements
  • Collaborate to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  •  US Citizenship required 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • At least 3 years of progressive IT experience in systems administration / development roles at an enterprise level  
  • At least 2 years of experience with M365 Applications (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Purview, Copilot, etc.) including design, deployment, configuration and optimization 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python) 
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, and workflows - SharePoint Framework (SPFx) 
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions management 
  • Knowledge of PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and Power BI. 
  • Knowledge of policy compliance and Purview related components (sensitivity labels, retention, external access) 
  • Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross-functional partners on SharePoint based solutions. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpretation skills, with the keen ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Detail-oriented, organized and quality-focused, with a customer-centric mindset. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Successful experience as an M365 SharePoint Administrator and/or Developer role for large scale implementations 
  • Experience building forms and workflows using SharePoint Online and PowerApps/Power automated flows including using PowerBI. 
  • Applicable Microsoft Certifications (MS-900 M365 Fundamentals) 
  • Copilot for M365 and/or Copilot Studio 
  • Experience with ServiceNow for IT support 
  • AI/ML based Teams Bot development and/or implementation 
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Integrations) 
  • Agile/Scrum experience 
  • ITSM / ServiceNow experience 
  • Experience working in a data center environment
