Job Summary: 
The Logistics Supervisor at Royal Hawaiian Movers is a versatile role responsible for supporting various departments and locations within our organization. A large part of the role will be shipping container management and shipping container routing. In addition to shipping container management and routing, this individual will step in wherever needed, ensuring smooth operations and efficient processes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (required), preferably in Business or a logistics-related field, and a minimum of 5 years work experienceacross functional areas of business and administration. Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000
Responsibilities: 

  • Shipping Container Management & Routing: Oversee the efficient management and routing of shipping containers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while optimizing logistics and minimizing costs. 
  • Process Testing and Implementation: Test and implement existing operational processes into new software systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality while addressing any issues that arise during the transition. 
  • Documentation and Process Creation:Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, process documentation, and use best practices when managing our containers and other logistics operations.
  • Customer and Account Service:Provide exceptional customer and account support when needed, addressing inquiries, resolving issues. 
  • Document Preparation:Prepare and organize documents related to creating container manifests and trucking requests. 
  • Cross-Functional Support:Work across departments (Household Goods, Freight, Trucking, Office and Industrial) to fill gaps and support operational needs for container management. 
  • Process Improvements:Identify areas for efficiency enhancements, streamline workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree (required), preferably business or in a logistics-related field. 
  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in various functional areas of business and administration. 
  • Skills: 
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software. 
    • Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
