Job Description
The Program
Mallinckrodt is offering an 11-week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Here, you will be able to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service.

Summary

The Logistic Intern will support the wider Global Distribution Operations team based in Hazelwood, MO. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of pharmaceutical distribution, including: Logistics, Transportation, 3PL Management, Trade Compliance, & Business Systems. This exposure will also provide context into the overall pharmaceutical production process from raw material to patient.
Essential Functions

Ensuring Good Distribution Practices are followed across the GDO value chain

Development of shipment tenders, carrier identification, and commercial invoices

Logistics network reviews & software training

Manage international shipments & customs release

Partner with Third Party Logistics (3PL) managers

Develop an understanding of inter-/intra-company ERP transactions

Management of special projects as required
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
-
Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education

Completed courses in Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, or Supply Chain preferred

Hands-on experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting preferred

The Logistics Intern will report to the Sr. Director, Global Distribution Operations, and will partner with a variety of experienced functional managers throughout the internship period.
