We are seeking a dynamic Logistics Director CE to lead and optimize our logistics operations for the Potatoes business (flakes & frozen) across Continental, Central, and Eastern Europe. Managing a complex logistics network spanning 50+ locations, 250,000 pallets in stock, 700 SKUs, and 100 carriers, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused operations, handling 1,000 KT of volume annually.
You will drive strategic improvements, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate across functions to enhance logistics performance, cost control, and service quality.
Reporting to the VP Supply Chain CE.
This Role could be based in: France(Villeneuve d'Ascq, Harnes) or Netherlands(Lewedorp).
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the safe operation of cold and dry storage facilities, transport processes, and adherence to McCain policies and quality standards.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage stock levels (DIOH), optimize cold store capacity, and maintain accurate inventory for efficient production and customer service. Oversee the deployment of goods to regional depots and customers.
- Cost Management & Reporting: Monitor logistics costs, analyze deviations, and collaborate on corrective action plans. Ensure proper control of write-offs and disposal and manage the pallet exchange process.
- Logistics Network Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize the storage and transport network to reduce costs and McCain's carbon footprint.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that logistics services meet quality standards, monitor performance, and handle customer service claims related to logistics.
- Team Leadership: Leading the logistics team to effectively execute the strategy, driving change management initiatives, and fostering a performance-oriented culture through regular feedback and alignment on objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Strong analytical skills. Skilled at finding and understanding data and data patterns to construct conclusions and insights that aid in decision making. Skilled in developing alternative scenarios.
- Experience in handling detailed numerical data and presenting insights in an understandable way across different organizational levels.
- Broad supply chain expertise , including planning, logistics, and customer fulfillment. Proven success in leading planning, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to build alternative scenarios and articulate multiple perspectives to drive recommendations.
- Solid understanding of portfolio management and financial KPIs that impact operational performance.

Others Requirements:
- Regular travel to Europe Headquarter - VDA offices.
- Frequent visits to cold store locations & carriers across France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland.

- Fluent in English and French(oral/written); other language could be a plus.
