The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section.
Responsible for accurately accounting for purchased livestock and freight, and making accurate reports to the USDA regarding these purchases. Assists livestock buyers by supplying needed information pertaining to contracts. Focuses on superior customer service and assists producers that may have questions about payment and changes in addresses.
Core Responsibilities

HogPro - Enters information into HogPro(SAP) such as livestock head count and weight, freight adjustments, maintains producer information, livestock contracts, and prints summary reports daily.

Mandatory Reporting- Accurately reports purchases to USDA, on time, in each reporting period. Primary contact person for USDA, Smithfield, or thirty party audits of purchases and reports. Customer Service- Provides customer service and support for hog buyers and procurement team.

Records - Maintains and files daily and monthly records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

1+ year related experience preferred.

Must possess basic accounting skills.

Advanced knowledge of HogPro(SAP).

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

Ability to operate basic office equipment; fax, copier, computer and multi-line telephone systems; and postage machines.

Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
