As a Pre-Sales Application Engineer (AE), you will be responsible for Liquid Chromatography (LC) system solutions. Work team-play with Agilent Account Managers, Product Specialists, and AE colleagues in sales organization to drive sales performance and business growth through your provision of technical expertise.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide application consultation, on-site support, and demonstrate the latest, state-of-the-art LC technology and solution.

Set LC solution strategy and plan to align with business goals.

Participate actively in the sales process from deal qualification to closure, including customer requirements evaluation, feature-by-feature demonstrations, benchmarks, competitive positioning, and implementation/execution.

Understand and analyze customers' requirements and challenges. Develop and recommend solutions to meet their needs, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Conduct sample tests, and summarize and present persuasive results, including product, workflow, and solutions to customers.

Support application works such as instrument acceptance, customer methods setup, and troubleshooting.

Deliver LC customer training and consulting.
Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. equivalent education in Analytical Chemistry, Pharma/Biopharma, Food, Environmental, Omics, or related science fields.

4+ years of experience in liquid chromatography. Experience with mass spectrometry is preferred.

In-depth knowledge of LC market and competition.

Demonstrate good teamwork and ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment.

Ability to coordinate and prioritize daily work efficiently.

Willing to travel when required (50% of the time).

Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication skills in English.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
