Position Summary
Manages dispatch coverage and implements the necessary improvements to logistics processes to enhance operations.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Establishes dispatch coverage and performs performance evaluations.
- Oversees communication between linehaul and internal customers.
- Designs and implements planning for managerial coverage and department personnel needs.
- Addresses service needs for customers and cross-functional teams.
- Monitors and manages fueling program, corporate lodging, toll passes, wait times, and delayed pay.
- Communicates and provides informational support for all linehaul inquiries.
- Trains and coaches terminals and dispatchers on best practices.
- Audits workflows and enforces policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field.
- 7+ years of planning or transportation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, dispatch software, and transportation management applications.
