Lifestyle Show Producer/MMJ
Join our Creative Services staff and highlight the Colorado lifestyle and showcase some of the area’s best businesses. Our ‘Great Day Colorado’ Lifestyle Show Producer/MMJ will produce and booth the show, but also, report, shoot, write, and edit segments as assigned.
Duties:
- Writes and approves scripts
- Works with hosts on interviews and on location segments
- Balances content to create compelling shows
- Arranges interviews with people who can provide information about segments
- Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines
- Shoots and edits client and show segments
- Highlights businesses for broadcast, describing the background and details of locations and events
- Work with paying clients to isolate vital marketing points
- Pitches lifestyle content to managers, producers and hosts that is relevant to the local community
- Discusses issues with producers and/or managers to establish priorities
- Revises work to meet approval or to fit time requirements
- Ensures that all content meets company standards for production quality
- Writes stories for the web and other eMedia platforms
- Interacts with viewers/users on social media sites
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Positive, collaborative attitude with a problem-solving outlook
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required
- Minimum two years’ experience in reporting and/or producing
- Shooting and editing experience
- Proficiency with ENPS and Bitcentral
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Flexibility to work any shift
Salary 60-65k annually
