This opportunity entails being responsible for the extraction of point cloud data, conventional topography mapping creation, digital level reports, preparing drawings with TopoDOT / Microstation, / OpenRoads, Complex registration of point cloud data using Trimble Bussiness Center and PosPAC, Complex point cloud extraction with a high accuracy level, Scope and Fee generation, the completion of level 3 QC, able to track budgets and scheduling, assist in other aspects of plan preparation such as information gathering and data. Focus of tasks will generally be related to specific Surveying / Engineering sub-type. Other tasks assigned
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for the organization of all design/production related files.
- Responsible for verifying the accuracy of drawings, compatibility of work across disciplines and for checking detail and quantity calculations.
- Assists the engineer in outlining objectives, requirements and design approaches.
- Attends project and pre-construction meetings and provides input to ensure proper policies, procedures, and specifications are followed.
- Prepares electronic files for use in meetings and facilitates their display.
- Calculates quantities and performs engineering related computations.
- Provides training and mentoring of less experienced technicians.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Associate of Science or Technical School and 6 years related experience, or
- In lieu of education, 8 years related experience
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficient in the terminology and symbols used in survey notes, plans, shop drawings, aerial photographs, and maps related to a specific Engineering sub-type
- Proficient in TopoDOT software
- Proficient in Trimble Business Center Software
- Proficient in Open Roads software
- Proficient with Microsoft Word Suite
- Able to train incoming staff
- High level of organizational skills
- Willing to work with in a team environment
What We Prefer:
- ASPRS Certified Scientist or Technician
- 10 years experience
