Tietoevry is now hiring a Legal Trainee! 

The Legal Trainee program is divided into two different areas, providing diverse learning opportunities: 

• First, you will assist Tietoevry’s lawyers in assessing new regulations, such as Data Act, and support business with implementation of those. 

• Depending on the business needs and your own interest, you will later assist Tietoevry’s lawyers and other stakeholders in various legal matters, such as contract reviews (NDAs, DPAs, various types of IT contracts), contract negotiations, general legal and compliance questions and company law and governance topics of a publicly listed company. 

• You might also assist and participate in the Legal team’s internal development projects and initiatives, such as updates of different contract templates and training materials. 

What kind of experience will you gain as a Legal Trainee? 

With us: 

• You will be supported by the team of subject matter specialists. Depending on your experience, you may provide legal support also independently.  

• You will gain experience in IT and data regulation and have an opportunity to participate in development project related to new regulations. 

• You get to support the agreement processes and see what it is like to work in-house in an internationally operating publicly listed company. 

• You are expected to learn during the trainee period how to provide legal support in a business-minded way while supporting leaders to make informed decisions based on acceptable risks. 

• You will also have your own buddy as trusted friend. 

• You will have a chance to build your network across the company together with other Trainees or Graduates in the Nordics and you will be a part of our Young Professional community!

What about the practicalities? 

• You will work on part time or full-time basis, depending on your preference.  

• Employment term is preferably fixed at least until the end of year 2025. We hope that you can start as soon as possible! 

• You will work mostly with the Finnish colleagues, but cross-border cooperation and support will be highly appreciated. 

• We expect you to work at the office regularly, but working from home is also a possibility alongside. We follow Tietoevry’s hybrid model guidance. 

What do you need to succeed in the role? 

Must haves: 

• a law student close to graduating (three to four years of university studies in the field of law) 

• genuine interest for IT, data and business law  

• want to learn and grow 

• ability to work pro-actively on your own initiative and as a team member with a can-do attitude 

• fluent (written and spoken) English  

Considered as an advantage: 

• previous work experience from a company's in-house legal team and/or at a law firm 

• experience on commercial contracts 

• fluent (written and spoken) Finnish and/or Swedish
