We are seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to support the Legal eBilling system, purchase order management, and resolve billing inquiries. This individual will also play an important role with the management of vendor POs for Legal, billing quality, development of data analytics and metrics for spend analysis, and supporting the legal department’s strategic goals with other special projects as designed. Specifically, this role involves overseeing the eBilling process, onboarding new outside counsel firms, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and oversight of vendor po and management for the legal team.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Director of Legal operations while having the opportunity to also work alongside other Legal Operations team members who are curious people that are passionate about running legal like a business as well as driven by results.
Responsibilities

Manage the Legal Department's eBilling platform and proactively seek improvements in eBilling processes to maximize productivity and efficiency

Provide billing support to the Legal Department and outside counsel firms

Research and resolve billing issues by collaborating with multiple teams including Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing, and Purchasing

Manage the onboarding process for law firms into eBilling system and train internal users as needed

Maintain outside counsel rate tables and oversee the timekeeper approval process

Create spreadsheets to organize and analyze data, preparing special reports for other departments

Manage accruals and deliver monthly eBilling accrual reports.

Act as the contact person for external vendors, responding to requests for information and ensuring issues are resolved.
Requirements
-
3-5 years' experience in a corporate legal department
-
Expertise with Legal e-billing Solutions (SimpleLegal, Brightflag, Legal Tracker, Team Connect, etc.)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and analyzing large volumes of data

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel without losing attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a global, fast-paced environment
Preferred Requirements

BS/BA degree in a related field such as Legal Studies, Business Administration, Finance

Prior experience working with outside counsel

Experience with reporting and metrics

Financial management acumen, including but not limited, to billing, budgets, payment, and credits and refunds
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$56,900.00 - $105,700.00
