As a Legal Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience on the legal team. You will work closely with our legal team members, supporting various legal tasks, research projects, administrative duties, and client interactions. This internship is designed to help you develop a foundational understanding of legal practice and prepare you for a successful career in law.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in legal research by locating relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents.
- Summarize research findings and present them to supervising attorneys.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence, routing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Provide administrative assistance, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing case files.
Education and Experience:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited law school program.
- Strong interest in pursuing a legal career and a solid understanding of basic legal concepts.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
