Iberdrola Italia is looking for an In-house Legal Counsel who will be responsible for the legal support to the renewables and commercial business of Iberdrola in Italy with special focus in corporate law.
Main Functions and activities
The candidate will focus on the following main matters:
1) Responsible of Corporate law matters (procurement, PoA, minutes drafts,..)
2) Negotiation and drafting of contracts and agreements, namely construction contracts (EPC, BOP, engineering agreements etc.), supply agreements, joint development agreements, O&M contracts and development service agreements;
2) negotiation, drafting and advise on real estate, in particular, land lease agreements and land purchase agreements;
3) negotiation and advise on joint venture agreements, shareholders agreements, consortium agreements and energy contracts
4) M&A transactions: due diligence of renewable projects, share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements and other ancillary arrangements
5) general advice in legal matters;
8) management of external advisors and legal firms.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
No less than 5 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel in the legal department of a company, preferably in energy sector (in particular, renewables business). The main practices would be corporate, commercial contracts and real estate.
We look for creative problem-solving ability and excellent interpersonal facing skills. It is also necessary the ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization, self-confidence, and respect for others
The candidate should be fluent in English language. Spanish can be helpful but is not essential.

Bachelor Degree in Law
5 years experience (see above)
Fluent in English Language (written and oral)
