Ventrata is currently looking for a new member of the finance team. If you want to expand your career as Legal Counsel, you have interest in technologies and you are not afraid of challenges, this might be a perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Negotiation & Management:
    Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., SaaS, licensing, partnerships). Maintain scalable contract templates and streamline negotiation processes.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with UK and international laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and export controls. Identify and mitigate global regulatory risks.
  • Data Protection & Privacy:
    Lead data privacy compliance, develop policies, and advise on GDPR and global data protection.
  • Employment Law:
    Provide legal advice on employment matters across jurisdictions, including disputes and regulatory compliance.
  • Intellectual Property:
    Manage trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Protect proprietary technology and software.
  • External Counsel & Training:
    Oversee external legal advisors and provide internal training on key regulatory changes.
  • Sales Support:
    Support large enterprise sales deals to ensure compliance during negotiations and execution.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with 5–7 years of PQE, ideally in the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Solid knowledge of UK and international laws (GDPR, IP, and employment law).
  • Proven ability to manage diverse legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey legal concepts to non-legal teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience with global operations and cross-border legal issues.
  • Understanding of software licensing and subscription services.
