We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our legal department at our Munich headquarters. If you thrive in a collaborative environment with flat hierarchies and enjoy working in a highly skilled and supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

What would your role be?

• Providing legal guidance on banking supervisory law, capital market law, investment law, corporate law, and related regulatory matters.

• Leading and mentoring a team of two legal professionals by offering strategic direction and fostering professional growth.

• Identifying and assessing legal risks related to European business operations, particularly within Asset Management and Wealth Management.

• Collaborating closely with the Group’s legal department on cross-functional legal matters.

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, counterparty terms and conditions, NDAs, and due diligence reports.

• Managing legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters while engaging with external counsel as needed and ensuring effective coordination.

• Keeping track of legal and regulatory developments at both national and international levels, ensuring compliance and identifying necessary actions.

• Acting as an independent decision-maker, representing the company’s legal positions, and providing strategic legal guidance.

• Organizing and delivering training and informational events on legal topics.

• Leading a team of 2 experienced lawyers.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified to practice law (second state examination in law).

• At least five years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a commercial law firm or the legal department of a financial institution specializing in banking supervisory/capital market law, investment law, asset management, or wealth management.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex legal matters into key takeaways.

• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Analytical mindset, a high sense of responsibility, and a solution-oriented approach.

• Ability to work independently while being adaptable, goal-focused, and resilient.

• Enthusiastic about working in an agile and dynamic team environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Willingness to explore and familiarize yourself with new areas of law.
