Job Description
The Group Legal Corporate & Transactions team supports LGT's management and Group companies with corporate law issues and projects, acquisitions and investments. The team also manages LGT's brand portfolio and contracts in the areas of IT and trading.
As Legal Counsel in the Group Legal Corporate & Transactions team, you will be responsible for the following tasks in particular:
- Providing legal advice and support to LGT Financial Services Ltd. in the negotiation and conclusion of contracts in the area of IT (e.g. purchase, development, licence, maintenance and consultancy agreements)
- Legal advice and support for LGT Bank Ltd. trading in the areas of capital market and stock exchange law
- Assessment of ESG-related issues (e.g. ESG reporting obligations)
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, mainly in English
- Instruction and coordination of external lawyers
- Independent representation of Group Legal in projects
Requirements
- Completed law studies and admission to the bar
- First professional experience, preferably in a larger law firm and in the areas of contract law, IT law, capital market and stock exchange law with knowledge of financial instruments and/or ESG
- High quality of work as well as reliable and independent work, commitment, resilience and ability to work in a team
- Very good knowledge of German and English (oral and written)
- Ability to quickly grasp and explain complex issues
- Convincing communication with internal and external contacts
