About the Role

The Essity North America Human Resources team is looking for an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to take on the exciting and challenging opportunity as responsible for leading, developing, delivering and successfully enabling the Learning and Development Portfolio within North America. As an L&D Manager you will provide proactive and valued HR partnership and coaching to all relevant business units, management teams and by that ensure organizational efficiency. As part of your role, you will also be responsible for and take part in global projects and programs.

The ideal candidate will need to reside in Philadelphia and work a hybrid in-office schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the global learning mapping and needs analysis by reporting agendas across the different local stakeholders needs (cluster or country Learning & Leadership (L&L) needs / DEI, wellbeing and Health & Safety roadmap).
  • Ensure proper execution of the agreed agenda within the area of all the fundamental global learnings and processes,
  • Share every single local initiative with the global L&L team to ensure it’s is well supported by a go to employees’ agenda and related action plan,
  • Ensure agreed delivery model in a consistent way within the area, in coordination with the global L&L team,
  • Responsible for specific global or local cross-functional projects based on the global project list and priorities,
  • If necessary, provides facilitation assistance in other clusters or countries,
  • Ensure proper compliance training are taking place in the area,
  • Manage vendor relations,
  • Responsible or ensure coordination with training administration,
  • Ensure all processes and policies are compliant with global, BU requirements and with specific local legislation,
  • Provides expert advice and specialist HR support for L&L to line manager and other HR roles for area of responsibility,
  • Lead L&L internal communication if needed,
  • Manage properly local L&L team if any.

Who You Are

  • Approximately 5+ years of training or L&D experience
  • Demonstrated experience from designing, implementing and leading workshops and trainings, working with blended learning (face-to-face, virtual and on-demand etc.)
  • Experience from navigating in a large matrix organization with line managers located in different geographies
  • Good knowledge of HR tools and strong digital savviness
  • Previous experience from managing projects where multiple stakeholders are involved is beneficial
  • Certification in coaching is considered a plus
  • Organizational and political savvy
  • University Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Excellent written and spoken English
