About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Austin is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to join our dynamic People & Culture Team. This position is a Department Head position, reporting to the Regional Director of People & Culture. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for all things learning, is dynamic, passionate, and a strategic thinker.
What you will do
- Manages and facilitates (in collaboration with other presenters) Embark for all new employees and all other core programs
- Ensures employees are receiving proper training and meeting standards by developing training ideas, Forbes and LQA break down, analyzing trends in service glitches
- Ensures new managers to the company are given the knowledge and skills to successfully complete their 90-day probationary period through the New Leader Orientation program
- Maintains an effective Certified Departmental Trainer Program
- Partners with hotel management teams to determine performance gaps, and advise on actions that are likely to meet those needs
- Manages all compliance and safety trainings, including completion of all required trainings
- Assists managers with writing their development plans, ensuring the contents are focused on experience-based learning
- Regularly benchmarks the learning function with Learning Success Levels and bases the direction for learning utilizing the Learning Needs Analysis
- Creates and adheres to an annual budget for all training programs, initiatives, and learning resources
What you bring
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Learning Manager position required
- Experience in hotel operations, preferably luxury hospitality
- University degree or equivalent experience
