Lean Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Facilitate the Centralia IL site Lean Kaizen Events, including planning & scheduling future events, ensuring open communications and involvement of employees, coordination and updates of progress during event, and developing & maintaining a system to follow-up on open items from Kaizen events to ensure they are driven to completion. 

• Lead and execute site-wide transformational plan from current to future state through lean manufacturing, and lean business process efforts. Work with the operations team to help identify, develop, realize and optimize lean improvements within the economic capability of the site.

• Prioritize improvement opportunities based upon tactical planning objectives including safety, quality, delivery, cost and cash.

• Use Lean techniques to perform process reviews and aid in establishing standardized work procedures. 

• Train others on Lean principles, including Standard Work, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Ergonomics, SMED, 5-S, 2-P, and Kanban.

• Drive sites toward improved waste elimination, in manufacturing and business processes.

• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned. 

YOU HAVE:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Ideally 3+ years of lean experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Experience and understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices.

• Strong project management and leadership skills, including the demonstrated ability to lead multi-departmental project teams and resolve lean-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Ability to build relationships and influence all levels in the organization.

• Lean Champion certification, Six-Sigma certification or willingness to obtain certification a plus.

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
