Who are we looking for?
Re:Build CR is looking for a Lean Champion to join our growing team. This is a key position as part of a team responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. As the Lean Champion, you will play an important role in fostering a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of lean methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation.
What you get to do!
- Identifies opportunities for and facilitates continuous improvement activity across the business by employing lean methodology including but not limited to 5S, Visual Management, A3 thinking, standard work, waste identification and Kanban.
- Works with key stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment to support site goals and strategy.
- Facilitates problem solving and improvement-based events focused on improving safety, eliminating waste, stabilizing processes, and improving quality, delivery and productivity.
- Promote and facilitate a culture of high engagement.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization in verbal, written and visual methods, utilizing newsletters, visuals, and work sessions.
- Facilitate training and coach lean processes/methodologies to support the company Lean Journey.
- Manages Projects and Initiatives to critical timeline and cost in order to meet critical to customer objectives.
- Member of Safety committee often coaching safety improvements.
- Maintains and monitors improvement results initiating countermeasures as needed.
- Facilitates best practice sharing and benchmarking.
- Guides change management, training and communication as improvements are rolled out including the documentation and updates to standard procedures.
- Facilitates the preparation, data collection, and prework for Kaizen events.
- Performs audits to ensure sustainment of improvements over time.
- Assists in Value Stream mapping and Value Stream transformation.
- Performs and guides basic data analysis such as Pareto and process capability.
- Maintains high ethical standards, acting with integrity, trust, respect, honesty and teamwork-living the principles as defined in the Re:Build Way.
What you will bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and five + years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 3+ years of lean implementation experience required.
- Lean six sigma green belt preferred.
