Lead/Senior Compliance Analyst

About the Role

The position will be a key stakeholder in advancing Zero Hash’s Fraud mitigation efforts. Additionally, the position will be a decision maker within the Transaction Monitoring & Surveillance Team and will be tasked with creating/updating policies and procedures, investigating alerts/cases, and

ultimately decisioning outcomes.Through collaborations with team leads, this role will work to ensure efficient anti-fraud efforts and effective reporting of results across Zero Hash’s AML platform environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a great communicator, and has the ability to influence through respect and trust.

Role is remote first (applicants from US, UK, EMEA, Bermuda, APAC welcome).

Responsibilities 

● Review alerts generated by monitoring systems, including the identification of unusual/suspicious

activity and analyzing account activity using appropriate tools.

● Assist in the maintenance of polices and procedures across the Transaction Monitoring and

Surveillance Function

● Assess and Implement fraud mitigation strategies

● Conduct periodic account/customer reviews to detect potentially suspicious activity while

documenting steps taken through the investigation process.

● Identify and escalate any issues that impact the quality or effectiveness of monitoring tools.

● Ensure appropriate action is taken on accounts that have participated in suspicious blockchain

activity.

● Assist in decision making as it relates to if activity rises to the level of regulatory filing

● Develop, regularly update and ensure accuracy of all tracking logs for metrics reporting.

● Work and contribute to a team-oriented and collaborative environment to improve the analytical

and reporting processes.

Requirements

● College degree with strong academic credentials

● 4+ years Compliance and/or Fraud related experience

● Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements as it relates to MSBs

● Strong problem solving skills

● Detail oriented

● Excellent time management and organizational skill

● Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain attention detail

● Strong familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite products

Preferred

● Crypto experience a plus

● Experience with NYDFS regulations a plus

● Proficiency in SQL, Python, etc is a plus

● Data Visualization Skills

● Familiarity with LexisNexis Risk Narrative

● Familiarity with Digital Insights / Threat Metrix
