Job Summary:
Illuminate USA is looking for a bold and innovative Leadership and Organizational Development Leader to help shape the future of our team at our new manufacturing facility in Pataskala, Ohio! Reporting to the Head of Talent Management, you’ll lead a small but mighty team in creating top-tier leadership programs, driving change, and building a culture where talent thrives. You'll work closely with HR, Learning & Development, and senior leaders to grow leadership capacity and prepare our best people for future roles.
This role is all about making an impact—designing programs, tools, and strategies that develop emerging leaders and strengthen our workplace culture. You’ll champion collaboration, continuous learning, and forward-thinking development initiatives that help individuals and teams reach their full potential. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement world class organizational development practices and processes, continuously assessing and refining practices to meet business needs
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand and address organizational needs while enhancing the organizational structures to align with business goals and strategic direction.
- Architect the leadership development strategy. Build, curate and execute the senior and emerging leadership development programs for leaders and emerging leaders as well as for high-performing individuals.
- Create and implement strategies, tools, resources, and educational content to support development initiatives for emerging leaders, senior leaders, and co-ops/interns, integrating data and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Develop, launch, and manage a leadership competency model and ecosystem that connects performance and development, enhancing leadership growth and organizational success.
- Integrate performance data to assess and improve leadership and high-potential talent development programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the succession development process and identify next level leader readiness using an excellent talent review process. Ensure creation of sustainable and impactful training and professional development plans. Evaluate competency-based talent assessment processes to consider objective evaluations across the organization.
- Be a trusted advisor / partner to the business by building a strong business case, soliciting feedback from key stakeholders, creating communication and education strategies to support understanding and championing initiatives.
- Ensure career development opportunities drive associate growth, identify high-potential talent, and prepare future leaders for leadership readiness. Monitor the effectiveness of initiatives and make improvements as necessary.
- insights and recommendations on talent retention strategies and career development best practices to meet future workforce needs.
- Lead, manage, and grow a small team of talent management professionals, driving a culture of development and learning to foster the generation of high-performing collaborative results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s preferred degree.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in organizational development, change management, or related roles.
- Proven track record in leading and implementing organizational development initiatives
- Experience leading a team, setting clear roles, providing ongoing feedback, coaching and cultivating continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of organizational design, change management culture development and team effectiveness principles.
- Experience working with executive level leadership and key business partners at varying levels with an organization.
- Phenomenal collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
- Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
