Overview
The ITAM Team are looking for a Lead Technical Lifecycle Management Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a new function and working in a multi-disciplined operational structure to deliver effective governance around the procurement and retirement of VLL assets.
The TLM lead will be responsible in assisting the ITAM team in the delivery of a 5-year strategy to encompass how we deploy assets and maintain them in partnership with the configuration management lead. The role will involve working with BMC Remedy and engaging with the delivery and project teams to drive projects forward and protecting VLL’s security posture. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of technology providers, working with senior stakeholders and focussing on continuous improvement to decrease technical debt in the wider organisation. The role is a governance-based function and promotes the use of policy and process to monitor change and adoption.
Role and responsibilities
This role is within the IT Asset Management team and will work with other VLL and Mastercard functions such as Architecture, Platforms, Portfolio Delivery, Risk, Security, Operational Resilience and Data Science. Responsibilities include:
• The candidate will be accountable for the governance of configuration items and their lifecycle in the ITSM platform (BMC Remedy Helix).
• The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Configuration Control Board and working with the service management teams to promote data integrity and governance around our critical assets. The candidate will require a good understanding of how the data protects assets critical to the delivery of Mastercard products and services.
• The candidate will have a strong background in ITSM and understanding the complexities of change management and how we manage and maintain records correctly.
• The candidate will be responsible for understanding what infrastructure is needed for the technical asset to function and ensuring that its footprint is captured correctly by the responsible teams by layers of governance and assurance.
• The TLM lead will be responsible defining KPIs and process adoption metrics on the utilisation of the CMDB platform data and engaging with senior and executive stakeholders.
• The candidate will help lead the organisation in efficient ways of retiring assets in a timely manner, and engaging with vendors and resellers on support modelling relating to our critical assets
All About You
• Knowledge of Configuration Management principles
• Ability to organize, manage and work effectively to accomplish multiple high priority tasks
• Experience facilitating communication to internal stakeholders and customers
• Experience of data modelling, data modelling tools and effective reporting including KPIs
• A strong background in demand management and engaging with various stakeholders to promote visibility on asset data and its importance in decision making
• An ITIL focussed individual with a good understanding of relationship management
• Understanding of processes and systems (e.g. IT Asset Management, Technology Lifecycles, Change Portfolio, Security etc.)
• Experience of BMC Remedy, and Project management practises
• Experience in the Payments Industry and some understanding of one or more payments systems
• Ability to identify inefficient processes and propose enhancements
Industry knowledge on UK regulatory requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills including facilitation, negotiation, collaboration and influencing
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and coaching
• High degree of self-organisation
• Reporting automation capabilities
• Exposure to external reporting tools such as PowerBI, Graffana,
• Previous exposure to project management tooling including Planview
• Autonomous attitude to working in dynamic environments
