ROLE TITLE: Lead Technical Program Manager
DEPARTMENT: Operations
ROLE PURPOSE
The Lead Technical Program Manager will own the strategic direction, execution, and management of various payment programs. This role owns the technical and operational relationship with payments issuers like Digital Wallets, Banking Schemes, Mobile Carriers and leads the technical scoping and integration of their payment solutions into Boku Payments platform.
You will be a leader playing a significant role in aligning different cross functional teams, resolving conflicts and coming up with solutions, providing guidance and taking complete ownership of the delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Technical Program Manager responsibilities will be as listed below
- Program Leadership: Lead and drive forward strategically important and complex programs and initiatives that span across multiple teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, commercial, regulatory and legal teams. Identify cross-team dependencies to incorporate them into the program planning process.
- Stakeholder Management: Must manage relationships with various stakeholders (technical & non-technical) to ensure the teams are working towards a common goal.
- Program Ownership: Ability to take decisions independently and owning the responsibility of the decision. Ability to take complete accountability of the project / program and guiding other team members.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to define the program's objectives, outline the scope, and develop a comprehensive plan that aligns with the organization’s strategic goal.
- Team Leadership and Coordination: They lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive effort and timely execution.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and devising mitigation strategies is critical, ensuring the program remains on track despite unforeseen challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Overseeing the quality of deliverables, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring the final product meets the set standards and requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Post-delivery, analyze project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and integrate lessons learned into future projects.
- Business Acumen and the ability to support commercial and other cross functional team by providing required and anticipated inputs

- Operate as One: Foster collaboration across departments for a unified approach towards a program or a project.
- Know the Impact: Ensure the solution delivered is scalable and in line with Boku’s roadmap to ensure both Boku and Boku’s merchants benefit in the long run.
- Unleash Ingenuity: Identify innovative solutions to optimize processes to provide best of class solution to Boku’s merchant.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- 15+ years of Program Management experience in a technical capacity required, preferably within payments industry
- Experience in Payments Products
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align program objectives with company goals.
- Proficiency in program management software and tools.
- Leadership skill and experience in leading a team of Project Managers
- Strong project management skills, preferably with experience in system integration in payments domain
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to gather insights from data to identify underlying issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation in Technology / Engineering (Preferred)
- Project / Program Management Professional (Preferred)
- Scrum Master Certification (Preferred)
